Our Process
Our process is intentionally paced to ensure quality and attention to detail.
We collaborate closely with our customers throughout, sharing regular progress updates and images. Creating a small quilt typically takes up to four weeks, though more intricate designs or specialty fabrics may require additional time.

Consulting
We prioritise understanding what matters most to our customers and the personal significance behind each item.
To ensure we capture every detail, we ask thoughtful questions to build a complete picture of your vision.
You can use the link to our questionnaire to get you started.

Design
Once we’ve gathered enough detail, we’ll create a design to visually represent the planned item.
Please note that the final piece may differ slightly from the design, depending on the quantity and variety of fabric provided by the customer.

Quotation
Quotations are based on the quantity of fabric provided by the customer, as well as any additional materials we need to source, print, or produce.
The quote includes the cost of wadding, backing fabric (unless supplied by the customer), and labour. If you prefer to provide your own backing fabric, we’ll factor that into the final quotation. The type of wadding requested will also be reflected in the overall cost.

Types of Wadding
The feel and appearance of your quilt will be influenced by the type of wadding you choose, which can also affect the overall cost.

Quilt Top Build
Creating the quilt top based on your specifications is a key stage in the process.
This is where the final size of the quilt is confirmed, as blocks and panels are arranged and assembled.
We’ll guide you through each step, providing updates along the way to ensure the design aligns with your vision.

Quilting
The final stage involves quilting the three layers—top, wadding, and backing fabric—together.
We’ll discuss your preferences for the quilting style before this step begins. Options include edge-to-edge patterns, random meanders, designs that follow the block layout, or custom motifs based on a specific theme.
